“[W]e ought to deprecate the hazard attending ardent and susceptible minds, from being too strongly, and too early prepossessed in favor of other political systems, before they are capable of appreciating their own.” —George Washington (1795)

Many think that the youth should be exposed to all sorts of other philosophies with regard to the governing of societies. It seems that Goerge Washington understood that before you should encourage the study of other governments there should be a full understanding of the existing governance.

Recently my son was taking a political science class at our local community college where the instructor seemed to starkly prefer the class be exposed to all things Marxist, and Islamic…and not simply Islamic, but the actual writings of Osama Bin Laden!

I found it fairly alarming that this would be encouraged at our community colleges.
