Why is it so important to remain close to The Lord as a nation, why does immorality hurt our own souls as a people? When we give in to sinful activity, from sexual immorality, to drunkenness, to gossip and slander, then the “enemy” is able to step aside and allow The Lord Himself to curse us and the curse will work!

As in the situation with Balaam and the children of Israel, when he tried to curse the people of Israel he was prevented and God would not curse them but would only bless them. HOWEVER, when Balaam convinced the leaders of Midian to tempt the people of Israel to commit immorality with the “Baals of Peor” then God Himself was incited to punish the People of Israel.

This may be why the satanic-led among our people have tried over many years to constantly push America into ever-increasing perversions and shocking behavior so that The Almighty might turn against us Himself. We as Americans have been under a curse for so long, we have pushed God’s ways aside for many years and embraced murder by means of agreeing with abortion, or immorality, looking the other way or secretly entertaining it by means of what we watch, and many other evil practices that hurt our own selves by preventing God’s protection.

But there is hope today, may we turn again back to The Lord and His ways, stop all activities that hurt us, sexual immorality, sensuality, hatred, envy, division, lying and slander, and turn to Him for forgiveness, as He is always willing to receive us back and will cover our sins because of the atoning work of His son The Lord Jesus Christ, and He will again direct our lives to be a blessing in this world “toward love and good works” which we were actually created by Him to do!
