Mormonism a Performance Religion?

And Is The Mormon Jesus the Same as the Christian Jesus?

“In bearing testimony of Jesus Christ, President Hinckley spoke of those outside the Church who say Latter-day Saints ‘do not believe in the traditional Christ.’ ‘No, I don’t. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in this the Dispensation of the Fullness of Times. He together with His Father, appeared to the boy Joseph Smith in the year 1820, and when Joseph left the grove that day, he knew more of the nature of God than all the learned ministers of the gospel of the ages.'”

What is Grace?

And what has God done for us in Jesus Christ?

What does God who does not change give to every believer?

Rom 8:13
29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died-more than that, who was raised-who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? – Romans 8:29-35

And again as Peter says:
2 Peter 1:3
“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and GODLINESS, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.”

Or finally in the very words of Jesus in Luke 12:32
“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to GIVE YOU the kingdom.”
We are free
from The works of the temple!

And here is HUGE freedom:
We are not required to perform temple service, because of what Christ has accomplished!
“But I say to you there is one here who is greater than the temple.”
Mt 12:6

So now what is the work God wants us to do?
“The work of God is this, to believe in the One He has sent”.

My conclusion:
Joseph Smith didn’t do this instead he was deceived by a satanic angel who presented to him a typical (Satan doesn’t create anything only twists the truth) performance based religion like every other religion in the world. Rather than the FREE/GRACIOUS Gospel of Peace with God Through Jesus Christ!

Mormonism is
A performance religion, based upon the Gnostic (or secret knowledge) Heresy: it is a A gospel of special “merits” that favors type “A” personalities. The hardest workers. People who will DO the requirements to progress along. It gives men a reason for selfish pride (boasting)
You will come into a greater (secret or special) knowledge as you progress along.
The Christian Gospel:
The gospel that we believe in says that it was for freedom that Jesus Christ set us free. We are now free to live lives of love. We are not required to perform the ordinances. But are “perfected” ONLY by accepting what God alone could do for us. This is more fully explained in the book of Galatians.
So what works and what must we do?
The Bible says that the works that we are required to do for God the work of God is to know him and the one whom he has sent.
Jesus says No one has gone into Heaven but he that has come down…John 3:13

Gal 1:8 – another gospel
Here is the Mormon Gospel:
By grace you are saved, after all you can do, (2 Nephi 25:23).
Carrying An impossible expectation of perfection:
2. If you commit any past sin again, the former sins return, (D&C 82:7

Marriage
No oaths:
Jesus said that we should ever swear any oath!
Mat 5:34
Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: 34But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: 35Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
Jesus fulfilled the role of the high priests for us!
“One is here who is greater than the Temple!”

Major Mormon Heresy:
its specific teachings deviated from those of historic Christianity — the doctrine of eternal progression, which assumes man will evolve to divinity, and a belief in pre-existent souls, and a deviant Christology. (Jesus is not the all sufficient payment for our sins, but we must do additional “ordinances” and purifications and oaths, to become married)

Insight into paganism:
LA Mormon marriage
The veil is back!
In the Mormon temple during the marriage ceremony the veil is back up, you can only pass thru by your knowledge of the secret handshakes.

Lucifer teaches us!
Lucifer himself (played by an actor) instructs the couple in the “garden of eden room” that they must eat of the tree (break God’s command not to eat) because the need to obey the “greater command” the command to be fruitful and multiply! You then receive the fig leaf underwear like that which Satan wore, bearing the marks (logo “eye of Horace” and “square and compass”) of free masons.

A new secret name?
You are given a new name secret to you alone, (but the bible keep teaches in revelation that Jesus will give us each our own new name)

MASONISM
During the ceremony there is the taking of oaths that are similar to what happens in satanism. You take an oath to die by getting your throat slit, stomach disembowled, chest torn open etc if you ever break the oath. (As Christians we would NEVER take or make any oath such as those, this is a huge red flag).
These may now have been changed to “the endowments” where while wearing your “special undergarments” you drag your thumb across your throat, you are pledging an oath not to the Father but to a different god, Satan!

CURSED
The ultimate deception-the Invitation of a curse:
In the marriage ceremony near the end while in the celestial room you reach through the veil separating you from the holy of Holies and embrace the “father”, (touching him in the 5 points of contact, as in the Masonic ritual-note this has now been stopped because of abuse) and utter a curse “the power and the preisthood be upon me and my children for time and eternity” you are actually embracing the preisthood of Satan! And cursing your family to him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have a true heart to serve and know God but your leaders have deceived you! (Isaiah 9:16)
READ!!!!!

2 Cor 11:2-15
TRUE FREEDOM
Jesus removed the veil to the Father when he died on the cross! So now we can each on our own, not needing a wife, or any oaths, or any ordinances, or any purifications, or and other thing can be WITH HIM FOREVER! Restored to perfect fellowship with Him. Christianity is THE ONLY FAITH that says you don’t have to do anything but receive what God Himself through Jesus Christ has done for you!!!!!!!

THIS IS THE GOOD NEWS!

Q: as a Mormon what do you do to be forgiven from your sin? Daily?

Q: Did Jesus Christ Die for ALL of our sins, including adultery and murder?

Mormonism says:
“Christ did not die for all sins.
Christ did not atone for the murderer, since there is no forgiveness for him “in this world, nor in the world to come.” Christ also did not pay for more than a one-time offense of adultery, since such violators cannot be forgiven either (D&C 42:18 and 25-9).

Actually, according to one apostle, Christ atoned simply for Adam’s sin, and left “us responsible only for our own sins.” This apostle goes on to quote the 2nd Article of Faith that claims “men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression”
— (Le Grand Richards, A Marvelous Work and a Wonder [1976], 98).

Other LDS prophets have taught that there are certain “sins” that one may commit that are beyond the atonement of the Son of God, and one’s own blood must be shed in such cases (Brigham Young, The Journal of Discourses3:247; 4:53-4; 4:219-220; and Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation 1:133-6).”

Christianity says Christ did die for all sins.

Christ atoned for all sins (Adam’s as well as everyone else’s). The Lord Jesus took the punishment of everyone on the cross. The debt we could never pay has been completely paid by the Lamb of God, and to those who receive this gift, they are declared “justified” or “not guilty.” This is the good news (the gospel) for everyone, including the adulterer and the murderer (2 Samuel 12:13; Isa. 53:3-12; Mt. 18:21-2; Rom. 3:24; 4:5; 5:1-2; 1 Cor. 6:9-11; 15:3; 2 Cor. 5:14-21; 1 Pt. 2:24; and 1 Jn. 1:8-2:2).

Conflicting views:
The nature of God, not Creator of the universe. Who Jesus is, not a God at birth and not co-equal 2nd person of the trinity, the condition of humankind, no total depravity, the creation, salvation, atonement, marriage and eternal life are just a few of the divergent teachings.
