The ability to own and possess dangerous firepower, personal defense weaponry, as a bulwark against the agressive intentions of a would-be attacker, or as a deterrent to the the over-stepping of a tyrannical government, is a right guaranteed not to be infringed by the United States Constitution within the bill of rightts under the second amendment which reads, “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
